General Information

The CWA is a registered charity based at the Pound Arts Centre, Pound Pill, Corsham (www.poundarts.org.uk/) In general, the aims of the association are to promote and foster the enjoyment of playing music with friends; promote musical proficiency and excellence; encourage social awareness and responsibility within the Association and local community. We have a membership of about 150 young musicians from Corsham and the surrounding areas in Wiltshire with ages ranging from 5 to 24 years. It is this company of young musicians that make up 3 very individual bands that form the core of the Association.  If you are interested in joining the CWA please download the New Member's Pack below.

Subscriptions are due at the beginning of each academic term:

£40 per term subscription or £10 per month by standing order (this would be our preference).

£5 large instrument deposit.  No hire fee

£25 small instrument hire per term

It is now possible to pay your subs & instrument hire fees online.  The new account details are: Nat West, 30 High St Chippenham, SN15 3HB, account 31080367, sort code 52 21 30, account name The Corsham Windband Association.

Please could you give your child's full name as part of the reference, so that we can tally money received and it would useful if you could email the membership secretary, David Price, direct (see below) when you have made/initiated the payment so he can check it has cleared, giving the reference you have used, what you are paying for (term subs/annual subs/instrument hire, for example “ this term’s subs and hire of a large instrument for Child A and subs for Child B”) and the total you have transferred.

Please also include the approximate date of transfer (to help locate the payment into the association’s bank account) as an extra help.

If you wish to pay by cheque then you can either post it to:

David Price, 2 Farthingale Cottages, Academy Drive, Corsham, SN13 0SD or hand it to somebody responsible at band (for example, Martin).  Cash is not a preferred method of payment due to the lack of traceability.

Any queries please let me know (for example if you are unsure exactly how much is owed).
